Make "Room" in Your "INN"!
The Inns of the world still seem to have no “room” for the Christ. I have watched as our culture has been filled with time saving devices that consume more and more of our time and thus our thinking. It appears that our society has no “room” for Christ in their “hearts or minds”.The reality is that giving daily time to the Word of God and to prayer is the greatest priority of our lives. Our salvation requires that we make room for Christ to enter into our lives and that begins with allowing Him to fill our thinking! Every day we need to wait upon the Presence of God and His love to be revealed to us in a fresh way.The more that I pray and meditate about the spiritual condition of our culture, the more convinced I am that Christians have failed to understand that the very goal of our salvation is to bring them into daily fellowship with the Father.Accepting the forgiveness of our sins is merely the beginning! Over my life I have come to understand that I do not process the power on my own to maintain my spiritual life. I must receive fresh grace, every day! That new grace that comes only from having daily fellowship with the Lord Jesus.This empowering grace comes to us when we take the time to enter into God’s Presence! To honestly allow Him to know our weaknesses and our needs, we must open the “rooms” of our lives to the Holy Spirit and to renew our fellowship with Him. Then and only then can the daily grace of God’s Power be realized in our daily lives.I hope that through out my life I have encouraged others to spend time with the Lord Jesus, on a daily basis! Without this the joy and the strength of God’s Spirit cannot be experienced in our daily lives. As we enter into another new year my prayer is that everyone that read this short meditation would once again make “room” for Him in their daily lives.My prayer for every Christian is that they be renewed in their “daily fellowship with the Father” through His Word and Prayer.Commit to Memory: You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
