“…how much more more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him” (Luke 11:13)

Christ has given us the right not only to know Him and believe in Him but also to live in Him. The Holy Spirit come not merely to teach us, but to dwell in us, restore us, and to renew our minds. Every single day the Holy Spirit takes what is Christ’s and gives it to us. Life in Christ is a continual experience of receiving what Christ has given to us.

Christ breathed one them saying, “Receive the Holy Spirit…” It is through the Holy Spirit that we can now meet with and receive from Christ. To pray is to connect, to meet, to have contact with Christ. Prayer is the most powerful effective spiritual work. Prayer has no end or aim higher than itself. It is the highest aim of the highest work.

Prayer is the opening of oneself toward Christ. It is in prayer that we walk into the very tangible presence of God and are transformed and renewed in His being, this is what Christ promised.

Everyone who lives by prayer in the end gathers and gains for himself and immense trust in God, so powerful and so certain that it can almost be seen and touched. A soul imbued with God through an and through. It is through prayer that man perceives God in a very real way.

Prayer then is how we live in the reality of the living God. It is here where the Holy Spirit can make known to us the things of God. Thus prayer is a way of living.
