I recently read that the standard of excellence is no longer the quality of the performance but the quality of participation.
I wanted to jump up and shout, that has always been true in God’s Presence. He has never measure the quality of your performance, but always the quality of your participation.
The church should never have allowed the “quality of one’s performance” to mean anything, ….. the recovery of this truth could revolutionize our faith communities.
Go ahead, tell the world it’s not their performance but their mere presence that that the Father desires.
