Easter…. a time to get the family together and barbecue! A holiday to enjoy a few moments of rest! Just another excuse to have some fun! Right!

No! Easter is about “right-remembering”!!!

As I’ve read Time magazine this week, as I’ve listen to Christians and even Pastors make plans for this weekend I have come to realize just how far we have wandered from “the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude)

Christians are people in whom Christ lives! We are people who “remember” who Christ is, what He has done and that He lives in and with us right now!

What and how we chose to “remember” will determine our identity and our future! It appears to me that even some Christians and the Church have forgotten who, what and how to “remember-right.”

Easter is the “remembering” of His death and resurrection!

Thus it is the “remembering” of our birth into His Life.

Today, we remember His death…. Tommorrow His absence….

Sunday we “remember” His return to us! His embrace! His indwelling!

Easter is the central celebration of who, what and how He came to us, and for us — in order to be with us…..

This is our Holy Week… everything we do, we do as an act of “remembering”!

To remember is not a like calling to mind, or I forgot. No “to remember” is to “re-live”.

To do today what they did then in order to have now what they had then.

Christ was with them in the upper room, in the garden, on the cross, at the tomb and yes on Sunday morning….

I pray that we would all gather together as the forgiven family and expect His Presence to be with us in all His Glory…..

Please “Remember Easter” and enjoy His Presence!!!!
